Your objective is to jump into space fighters or shuttles and engage the enemy.

In these each faction has a main ship like a star destroyer for example which can't be destroyed. The biggest and possibly best improvement is the introduction of space battles. Vehicles return but many maps don't need them because a lot more maps are indoors and close quarters but there are still a load that are outdoors and open. These are Jedi and sith like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, Bounty hunters like Chewbacca and Boba Fett and many more. Each faction has a host of hero characters which you can now use yourself. I won't go into to much detail about the units but i will say this. You still have the main 4 star wars factions but the units are now different. The gameplay is the same capture the spawn points affair from the first game but it manages to feel more fun somehow. It had possibly the best maps in the original with Rhen Var citadel and Harbour. They are Bespin which is no big loss but also sadly Rhen Var is missing. Only 2 planets from the original are not present in the sequel. Each planet now only has one battlefield but there are considerably more planets. The sequel however provides a lot more battlegrounds and variety. Fight your favourite star wars battles anyway you like. The map is also available in the game's sequel via an Xbox Live patch.By pigfish2 | Review Date: SeptemStar wars battlefront 2 continues the trend set by the original. During the Historical Campaign, the battle on the map appears as a Galactic Republic mission, although the game's story is secondary continuity, according to Leland Chee, the keeper of Lucasfilm Ltd.'s Holocron continuity database. The Rhen Var Harbor appears in a map in the 2004 video game Star Wars: Battlefront.

The Rhen Var Citadel ruins were to the west of the fortress. The Rhen Var Harbor was a massive fortress that also included an old lighthouse and a small citadel. The Republic was able to infiltrate the harbor through a series of ice tunnels, as well as the use of AT-TEs.

The goal of the Galactic Republic was to take over the Separatist sensor station that was located in the harbor. The harbor served one of many sites where the Battle of Rhen Var took place during the Clone Wars. The Rhen Var Harbor was an ancient location on the planet Rhen Var in use before the planet was plunged into an ice-age.
